Today the Tribune Editorial Board publishes what we call our “bedsheet ballot.” It’s our list of endorsed candidates that readers can clip from the newspaper and carry with them into voting booths. Yes, it’s legal. So round up the scissors.
The bedsheet ballot appears in today’s Sunday edition of the Chicago Tribune, as well as Tuesday’s paper. For digital readers, we have provided the bedsheet ballot below, as well as a downloadable PDF version.
Two items you’ll see on our list are worthy of extra attention: a “vote NO” recommendation to Chicago’s proposed real estate tax increase, and our endorsement of Eileen O’Neill Burke for Cook County state’s attorney. You can find our full endorsements here.
Pretty incredible that this campaign has hit the radar of a major publication! I am humbled and filled with gratitude to receive the endorsement of the Chicago Tribune. This moment fills me with excitement and a profound sense of honor. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and belief in me.
